Miguel Colon '03 was one of the public servants commended for his service during the manhunt in the wake of marathon bombings. A member of the Beacon baseball team from 1998-2001 and its captain in 2001, Colon graduated from the College of Liberal Arts with a degree in social psychology.
In the early hours of Friday, April 19, Colon was involved in the deadly shootout where Boston Marathon bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev was killed and MBTA police officer Richard Donohue was critically wounded.
Colon and his fellow law enforcement colleagues and first responders were honored on April 21 for their courageous service by the Boston Bruins at the TD Bank Garden.
Following the game, Colon was presented with Bruins captain Zdeno Chara’s jersey.
